Known as DJ Lesh SA (27), from the streets of Thembisa in Ecaleni Section, he has proven that hard work and persistence pays off.
Every person in the music industry has to proclaim the throne as theirs. Is it not of any surprise that he is proving it daily?
Born Thulani Nyambi, he had always known that one day he would be recognised in the music industry.
“My love for music started at an early stage. I used to collect music. At family gatherings, I would want to perform and showcase how passionate I was about music.
“I started small and focused on exclusive sounds. It was in 2015 that I got my breakthrough after releasing my first solo EP titled Cue & Playa, with tracks that included Jus Move, recognised internationally,” said Nyambi.
Nyambi says the song was a success, and led to it being featured on Kevin Saunderson’s WMC 2015 chart in March 2016, earning a number four slot in the process.
He seems to lead as the DJ, and has built his own territory of music. Not only is his music influential to the residents of Thembisa, it is also making its mark in the country.
He has, in 2016, released another single titled All or Nothing. The single has gained momentum, and is played in a number of countries including Kenya, Angola, Greece, United Kingdom, Nigeria and Eswatini, among others. It was also featured on radio stations such as YFM, Metro FM, Ukhozi FM, Ligwalagwala FM, Thobela FM, Alex FM, 5FM, Homeboyz Radio, Sound City Radio, The Beat 99.9 FM, among others.
