WATCH: Soul Affecters’ concert a big success
Soul Affecters hosted their first music concert at Ivory Park.
Soul Affecters hosted the Family/Friends and Lovers Concert at Ivory Park Extension 15 at Kopanong Sports Ground on February 15.
The event saw music lovers coming in numbers to witness their local favourite bands, groups and instrument players do what they do best live on stage.
Despite the challenges of load-shedding, the show still continued as planned with artists like Nonhlanhla Dube, 3plug, Katlego Mohlola headlining the event, alongside the hosting soul band Soul Affecters.
Tshepiso Joseph Motha, Soul Affecters media liaison officer, said the event was great because they were able to give the audience something they were not expecting, and most liked the idea of live staging.
“Our success would be us knowing that we escaped our comfort zone to a bigger crowd and audience. To add to that, we managed to attract bigger valuable attention of corporate companies like Zinto Marketing Group who bought 100 tickets for the promotion of our show and their services partnering with MTN network providers.”
The soulful band also partnered with TX Theatre Productions. According to Motha, the production loved their work and promised to work with them throughout their journey.
“Going forward, we will be looking to getting our music out to the masses and continue to finish our EP in studio. From the EP, we performed at least three songs, thando, Voices, and Dry Season,” said Motha.
