Local gospel artist releases first album

"My gift is in the hands of God," said Nkatane.

Gospel artist Anabel Nketane released her first album, titled Ekuheteleleni, on March 6.

Nkatane, from Ivory Park Extension Two, was introduced to the music industry two years ago when she released her first extended-play (EP) with three songs, namely Ekuheteleleni, Siyakolwa and More than enough.

Ekuheteleleni contains 13 songs, which include You love me so much, Uyabizelwa and Ndzi vona Yeso.

According to Nkatane, her ministry as a worshipper started at the age of 12 at the children’s ministry at Assemblies of God Fellowship under the leadership of Apostle Daniel Mavanga.

“This is one album that will bless the masses. I believe this is the start of a good journey. This album is the seed of many of the albums the Lord will bring through my ministry.

“I started young and grew up to became one of the worship leaders of the youth choir and the music department at church. When I was growing up, Pastor Renny Masinge spotted the passion for music in me and helped me to embrace it.

“It was only later that I realised the Lord has given me a gift and I need to embrace it. So I broke boundaries to get where I was destined to be for my voice to be heard.

“Today, I am aspiring to be an influencer in the music industry through my music. The reception of this album through all online platforms is promising and people are loving the songs.”

Psalmist Production gave her the platform she needed to become an established music artist.

“I had enjoyed having my EP broadcast at different radio stations. My gift is in the hands of God,” said Nkatane.

The album is available on iTunes, Google Music and Spotify. Follow Nkatane on Twitter (@anketane), Facebook (anabelnketanee) and Instagram (@anabelnketane).
