Local muso set to perform in Swaziland
“For the first time, South African musicians will be invited to play in the highly-regarded MTN Bushfire Firefly competition."
Temong Section resident Nkosinathi Mfuphi, formerly known as Naardie, was selected as part of the MTN Bushfire Firefly competition’s top 20.

The competition is for the #YoungGiftedFree – those trail-blazers who dream big and hustle hard.
The competition creates a music space without limits for the youth to freely express themselves by sharing their musical creativity and lyrical authenticity, much like Mfuphi did when he submitted his piece.
Mfuphi requests the support and votes of the Tembisa community to advance to the top 10 and play at the popular event in Swaziland.
“For the first time, South African musicians will be invited to play in the highly-regarded MTN Bushfire Firefly competition.

Fortunately, among hundreds of great musicians, I was chosen as one of Tembisa’s most well-known artists to compete in the competition for the youth music competition and managed to place in the top 20.
“The top 10 musicians will compete for a position to perform in the official festival in May, by performing in front of the judges in Eswatini at House Of Fire.
“It would mean a lot to me if the Tembisan community held my hand, assisted me in my musical endeavours, and helped me to realise my aspirations. In advance, I want to thank them,” said Mfuphi.
