Watch: Geese brutally attack hungry baboon
A hungry baboon thought he found an easy meal when he saw some goose eggs in a nest, but he got the shock of his life.
Colin Pretorius (47), the sales and marketing manager at Ngwenya Lodge in Mpumalanga, was sitting in his office in front of the Crocodile River when he captured a once-in-a-lifetime sighting of geese attacking a hungry baboon.
Pretorius shared his footage and story with LatestSightings.com.
While the geese did everything they could to protect their eggs, from physically attacking the baboon and jumping on his back, to paddling at him with their web feet, the baboon simply wouldn’t give up.
He picked up an egg, cracked it open and ate it, even though one of the birds was sitting on his head!
