Petrol could drop substantially

Some good news might await motorists this festive season.

The petrol price could see a drop of between 90c and R1 a litre next month, reports IOL Business.

According to IOL Business the Department of Energy on Monday 15 December there can be a decrease of R1.03 a litre on January 7.

This will be some good news to already financially stricken South Africans as such a decline would bring the Gauteng petrol price to R11.44 a litre, which would be the lowest since August 2012. The Gauteng petrol price reached a skyhigh record of R14.39 a litre in April this year.
