Krugersdorp High School’s (KHS’s) first hockey girls team came out victorious at the Noordvaal Tournament, hosted at the Pukke Astro.

Saturday 15 August was a tiring day as they played three hockey games, but the team won the title after a nail-biting final against Hatfield Christian School.

“The game-time score was 1-1 leading to a one-on-one shootout,” Lauren Jooste-Coetsee, KHS’ marketing manager said. After being 1-3 down in the shootout, KHS managed to hang in there and draw 3-3.

The final came down to a sudden death shootout resulting in KHS’ victory.
