Alarm to safeguard charity’s stock
The branch members collected and donated food to Deo Gloria to help replace what was stolen.

Chubb Fire and Security South Africa donated an alarm system as well as food supplies to Deo Gloria charity following a burglary at their premises.
Established in 2005, Deo Gloria’s goal is to improve the community and provide caring leadership to the 500 children and 65 elderly people they are responsible for. Before the burglary they had no form of security.
According to Christa le Roux, treasurer at Deo Gloria, “They broke in at the telesales office.
“The window and the food stall door were broken. They took everything, including meat and vegetables that were meant to feed the kids. Luckily, nobody got hurt because it happened at night when no one was around.
“This donation means a lot to us.
“We feel safer now and hope something like this won’t happen again. With the money we had intended to use for a new alarm system, we now can buy food.”
Andrew Worthington, general manager of Chubb Gauteng North said the branch members also collected and donated food to Deo Gloria to help replace what was stolen.
“We collected approximately R4 000 worth of groceries,” he said.
