A young couple was arrested after police found the vehicle they were travelling in, a Toyota Verso was stolen.
Constable Sithole from Magaliesburg Police’s Crime Prevention Unit made the arrest.
It is alleged the arresting officer received a tip-off from the Flying Squad, informing him of a stolen vehicle en route from Randfontein towards Rustenburg. They requested Magaliesburg Police to assist.
The vehicle eventually was pulled over and it was found the be stolen.
“The members responded in less than an hour of receiving the tip-off,” Constable Rebecca Phthi, police spokesperson told the News.
Captain Van Rooyen, the Visible Policing commander, expressed his appreciation towards the members for their efforts and the ultimate success thereof.
