Father arrested for attempted murder
A 14-month-old child was allegedly strangled by his father in a domestic violence incident.
The 26-year-old father of a toddler was recently arrested for attempted murder and domestic violence.
Krugersdorp police arrested the man, who had allegedly been fighting with his girlfriend and had forcefully taken their child from her without her permission.
“The mother called the police for assistance. They found the suspect at a local tavern. It is alleged that he attempted to strangle the 14-month-old child,” Krugersdorp Police spokesperson, Sergeant Tshepiso Mashale said.
The suspect will appear in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court soon.
