Armed robbers hit Mindalore
The victims heard the security door being forced open. When they reacted, one of the perpetrators pointed a firearm at them.
Last night, at about 8.15pm, an armed house robbery occurred in Thornton Street, Mindalore.
According to a reliable source, a husband and his wife were watching television in the lounge when they heard a strange noise.
The victims heard the security door being forced open and when they reacted, one of four perpetrators pointed a firearm at the man and ordered him to lie down.

The man was subsequently tied up while the perpetrators ransacked the house, demanding jewellery and firearms.
The residents were robbed of two flat screen televisions, wedding rings, cellphones, two laptops and other electronic devices. After the robbery, the perpetrators fled the scene with the victim’s metallic blue Toyota Corolla Quest with the registration number DN 85 XJ GP.
The total value of goods stolen amounted to R309 000. Luckily no-one was injured, but unfortunately no arrests were made.
