Mogale Mayor greets New Year newborns

"This is the most important part of our city – the strong mothers and the future of the city."

The Executive Mayor of Mogale City Local Municipality, Patrick Lipudi visited Leratong and Dr Yusuf Dadoo Government Hospitals on New Year’s Day to greet the newest residents of the city.

The hospital staff, CEO and manager accompanied Lipudi.

Lipudi was all smiles while holding the tiniest of human beings and congratulating their birth-givers.

“You know, this is the most important part of our city – the strong mothers and the future of the city,” he said.

He held the first four babies of 2018 – three boys and one girl.

His staff prayed for the mothers and thanked God for blessing them with children.

The Mayor also spoke to passing patients while walking through the hospital, wishing them a speedy recovery.

He is the first Mayor of Mogale City ever to visit the hospitals to greet the newborns on New Year’s Day.
