Kagiso Police to make vehicle theft a top priority
“Stealing of cars will be dealt with harshly and we will leave no stone unturned."
The new aim of the Kagiso Police is to tackle motor vehicle theft without any mercy.
This is why they took pride in announcing that they recently arrested a 31-year-old suspect while he was trying to sell a stolen vehicle. Crime prevention members of the station were on patrol in the West Rand Cluster when they found a suspicious-looking suspect near a vehicle. He was trying to sell the vehicle to another person when the police pounced on them.

The police conducted their investigations and established that the motor vehicle was reported stolen in July 2017. The seller was arrested and later detained at the Kagiso Police station where a case of possession of a stolen vehicle was opened.
The suspect has appeared in court and was remanded in custody for further investigation.
“Stealing of cars will be dealt with harshly and we will leave no stone unturned,” said Colonel Maduna, Kagiso’s station commander.
