Police will not allow the community to take the law into their own hands
After seducing the man, his neighbour claimed that he raped her.
“Police are not going to compromise peoples’ rights in favour of those taking the law into their hands and ignoring constant calls by police to refrain from doing so,” said Captain Solomon Sibiya, spokesperson for the Kagiso Police.
At about 8pm on 6 October, a Kagiso resident was asleep in his shack at Soul City. He alleges that his next-door neighbour came into the shack.
Puzzled by her visit, he questioned the woman, but instead of answering, the woman got into bed with him and started making advances. The man and his neighbour ended up having sex and afterward the woman left.
However, she returned an hour later with her brother, his girlfriend and a friend.
