Retail bank ends Women’s Month on a generous note

African Bank recently donated R5 000 worth of sanitary pads to the Cradle of Hope.

The Cradle of Hope recently received a huge donation of R5 000 worth of sanitary pads from African Bank.

On Wednesday, August 25, the African Bank Key West supervisor, Antionette Moss and African Bank area manager, Ayanda Modisha visited the organisation to hand over the donation.

Ayanda explained that in May they donated stationery and educational toys to the Tjokkertjie vir Jesus preschool, which is affiliated with the Cradle of Hope.

They had R10 000 to donate, so they divided it equally between the preschool and the Cradle of Hope, the latter in view of Women’s Month.

“Since we are in the Krugersdorp area it is important to give back to Krugersdorp,” Ayanda said.

Antionette said they also help the women to open savings accounts, and teach them about financial freedom and saving.
