A birthday party to remember in Appelpark

The event in Appelpark focused on orphans and children from disadvantaged communities.

A local company recently partnered with a local pastor to host a huge birthday party for about 200 underprivileged children in Appelpark.

Somila Nyamakazi from Impisi Fibre told the News that they were approached by Pastor Stuard Kiloh from Love Hope and Grace Ministry about hosting a Streetkid Birthday Bash with him.

On Saturday, May 14 community members and close to 200 children turned up for the birthday party.

She said the event focused on orphans and children from disadvantaged communities, and they wanted to do some good for them by hosting the party.

Stuard and his team donated knitted beanies, packs with chips, lollipops and sweets, as well as cold drinks. Impisi handed out branded T-shirts, hot dogs and party packs filled with Smarties, sherbet, chips, cold drinks, biscuits and lollipops.

One of Impisi’s sponsors, BUCO donated fleece blankets to all the children.

Unfortunately, BUCO couldn’t be there on that day, but the kids were ecstatic about the blankets, considering that we’re approaching winter.”
