Azaadville substation shutdown scheduled for June 2

Residents can expect a scheduled power outage for most of the day while routine maintenance is carried out at the substation.

The Azaadville substation will undergo routine maintenance by Eskom tomorrow, June 2.

The maintenance will take place between 09:00 and 16:00.

Refilwe Mahlangu, Mogale City Local Municipality’s assistant manager for media and PR, advised residents to treat all electrical wires as live during this period.

To prevent possible damage to electrical appliances, we urge you to switch them off during the outage,” she concluded.
