Robert Broom crash leaves one injured

FirstHelp tow truck driver Paul Viljoen said a vehicle collided with a truck this afternoon, July 22, at about 13:50.

“The front of the car hit the truck at the Robert Broom Drive and Van Oordt Street intersection.”

The Krugersdorp News is currently on the scene, where one lane is blocked on Robert Broom Drive turning into Van Oordt.

Exact details of how the crash occurred are not yet available; however, the driver of the truck, Dennis Khovhiwa, said he was heading towards Rant-en-Dal on Robert Broom, and the other driver was turning towards Van Oordt Street when they collided.

Viljoen concluded only the driver of the car was injured and is being treated for her wounds.
