It’s time to take it to the streets

Johann Komarek from Rangeview writes:

We had load shedding in Rangeview on 21 November from 2.30pm to 7pm.

The Mogale City website indicated load shedding from 10am to 2.30pm and from 22pm to 2.30am.

I phoned the municipality to find out what time the load shedding would commence for the rest of the week but the phone just rang. This not only happens on a Saturday; you simply will not get hold of anybody during the week either.

Obviously the hard-working employees need a break from their strenuous activities during the week.

It is amazing that even simple things that do not require much brain can be messed up. Why publish a schedule if it is wrong? How does one prepare for load shedding if the information supplied is incorrect? What kind of people do we employ in the municipality to get simple things like that wrong?

Where do we go from here – why should we pay rates and taxes if the employees of Mogale City are not competent and do not provide any service?

I think it is time to go to the streets to express our disgust – perhaps a violent protest, trashing buildings and burning down facilities is what is expected?

Seems to work for most other facets of our society!
