Children have the right to be maintained by both parents. They are the best gifts from God.
I lodged a complaint for Failure to pay maintenance. Covid-19 wasn’t the reason for the arrears. I appeared in Krugersdorp Court. We read horrific stories regarding the court system. Having faith in the system is non-existing.
Today I would like to express my gratitude towards Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court. The example that was set in court was beyond amazing. Not only did they express how important our children are, but they took action as well.
I’m more than satisfied with the outcome and how my case was handled. Thank you to all the parties that were involved.
I’ve seen parents with lawyers and no, I’m not talking to parents who know a lawyer and is doing them a favour. I’m speaking to the ones that can’t afford child support, however they come to court with a lawyer. A lawyer that was paid for their services by you, the person who can’t afford or won’t pay maintenance.
Children are expensive. They cost a fortune. If I can give more than half, why can’t you? Another fact is that parents tend to use the child support monies for themselves, I’ve also seen this. I acknowledge this. However, there are mothers who only spend the monies on necessary things.
Parents, it’s not about us. It’s about our children. Children that were made out of love. Children that are too young to raise their voices. Children not only need emotional support, but financial support as well.
I’ve heard on many occasions that a child shouldn’t have been there if you can’t afford it. What? Every person’s situation changes with time, if it is for better or worst. None of us knows what tomorrow might bring.
Love your children. Fight for your children. Do the right thing and own up. If you love your kids as much as you say you do, it won’t be necessary for the mother or father to take you to court and beg for money.
Keep our children safe and make them feel wanted.
Thank you for being a great parent and doing your utmost best. A huge thanks to Krugersdorp Court.
