Turning pain into power: Daniella’s daily gym drive

Pushing past life’s challenges, 21-year-old Daniella Moyal channels her strength and discipline into an unbreakable daily gym routine.

For Women’s Month this year, 21-year-old local gym enthusiast Daniella Moyal shares her passion for training – a commitment she admits borders on obsession.

Daniella has been going to the gym every day, sometimes twice a day, since she was 17. Her fitness journey began during a challenging time in her life.

“My mum was ill while I was growing up and lost the ability to move. Watching her struggle with simple things made me realise how lucky I was to have a healthy body. I started exercising because she couldn’t, and I never stopped,” she recalls.

What began as a way to appreciate her health quickly became part of her identity. For Daniella, training is not about appearance – it’s about discipline, strength, and pushing her body to see how far it can go.

“Training helps me maintain routine and discipline. I enjoy pushing myself beyond my limits and discovering how much my body can do. If I go a few days without moving, I don’t feel like myself.”

She says the benefits go far beyond the physical. Exercise has strengthened her mentally, boosting her confidence and resilience.

“It keeps me motivated when life gets chaotic. Training reminds me I’m capable of tough things, and the discipline adds structure to my day, leaving me feeling fulfilled.”

Daniella also takes pride in the progress she has made over the years.

“Noticing improvement every day shows me that hard work pays off – lifting heavier, running faster, or simply moving better. The small things accumulate, and I look back and see how far I’ve come.”

Her message to other women is simple but powerful:

“Don’t shrink yourself to make others comfortable. You’re allowed to be strong, take up space, and pursue what you want without guilt. Fitness looks different for everyone – find what makes you feel good and run with it.”
