As a female-dominated multi-disciplinary practice, the PURE Health Centre has become home, not only to health loving and motivated practitioners, a rock-solid all female staff and support staff, but also the home of health care and advice for many families in pursuit of a better way of living.
This almost all-female team consists of professionals who also juggle the daily tasks and responsibilities of being mothers, some single moms and step-mothers, wives, being the care-taker and bread winner of a family, sisters, friends and daughters.
They are often asked how it is that they have managed to grow individually as well as a team and business, and the answer is simple – they are stronger together! The famous saying ‘It takes a village to raise a child’ is the very concept and basis that keeps the PURE Health Centre growing and evolving. This dynamic team of women have used this concept to build on their own successes and in turn extend this to each other, to the patients who visit the PURE Health Centre for care and ultimately the community at large. They holistically address all aspects of life – mental, emotional and physical. While their psychologist, Karen Bradford assists in promoting mental and emotional well-being, thier optometrist, Iria Da Silva, homeopaths, Drs Bianca De Canha and Erika Hart and biokineticist, Samantha Stacey, take care of and assist their to optimise their physical health.
The team must also express its appreciation for the one male in the village – the backbone of the practice – chiropractor, Dr Adam Sayers. The team considers it a privilege to be able to serve the community, to bring health and wellness to the families that make up the village, and invites the public to join the movement that has made the PURE Health Centre the ‘Health Hub’ of the West Rand.
