Locals take Wolfpack 4-in-1 down

The Warriors Wolfpack 4-in-1 marathon took place outside Tzaneen on Saturday morning with Given Baloyi winning the 42.2km race. Photos by Liesl Pohl.

Baloyi won the marathon with 2:33:21 on the clock followed by Emmanuel Ramohlale in second place. Lucky Maahlo took third place overall. In the women’s division, Jennifer Koech took first place in the 42.2km road race with a time of 3:07:47. Gift Ramabele took second place, and Polokwane runner, Pearl Hughes took third place overall. In the 32km road race, Remaketse Lekaka took first place, completing the route in 1:49:32.

Ananias Masila took second place and Ludwig Mamabolo took third place overall. Joyce Netshiakshe won the women’s division of the 32km race, crossing the finish line with 2:26:25 on the clock. Jane Madau took second place with a time of 2:37:52. Marlene Mackenzie took third place overall. Given Makgoba won the 21.1km road race with a time of 1:09:50. Lugisani Netshitenzhe took second place overall and Crispen Muchemwa took third place. Rosaline Isaiah, a Kenyan runner, won the women’s division of the 21.1km road race with 1:32:37 on the clock.

Mokoma Napo took second place and Corné van Wyk took third place overall. Karel Morethe took first place in the 10km road race, winning the men’s division with a time of 31:09. Hlonoko Msapha took second place overall and junior runner, Musa Twekenana took third place. Sinah Malatji won the women’s division in the 10km road race with a time of 44:08. Junior runner, Moyagabo Mohale took second
the place overall followed by Leandré Freidenthal in third place.

From PMC Athletics Club, Happy Ubisi took fifth place in the 42.2km race and Mpho Maloma also completed the marathon. Bob Guo took on the 32km race with fellow PMC runners, Kai Feng and Elvis Mkhabele. Adolph Nziyane and Neil Kenney took on the 21.1km race and Khomotso Mathebula, Gareitsane Mthimkulu, and Rethabile Gumede all completed the 10km race. Cecilia Kenney and Phaswane Mashilangwako from Phalaborwa also completed the 21.1km race. Thomas Baloyi from Foskor Athletics Club completed the marathon along with Mashakwaneng Monyela and Mofana Kekana. Pretty Sita-Moremi took on the 32km race and fellow Foskor runner, Mosoma Gafana took on the 21.1km race.
