Tzaneen takes over the Cape Argus

Tzaneen was well represented at the Cape Town Cycle Tour (also known as the Argus) recently.

First time participant, Ntwanano Ngobeni, managed to finish the race despite challenges during the race.

“We experienced rain and wind and on top of that my tyre burst, my chain broke and at some point the gears would not change.

“I ended up doing 114km instead of the 109km because I had to go back to water points to get my bicycle fixed,” Ngobeni explained.

He says he will definitely go back, but he needs to be fitter and mentally better prepared. He was joined by three of his friends, Fumani Ntlhamu from Phalaborwa, Walter Rachidi and Neo Rachidi, both from Polokwane.
