10 bags of dagga found by Politsi K9 Unit

Two men were arrested for possession of dagga on Friday along the R36 Lydenburg Road.

Samuel Nyakale (54) and Phiwa Gama (21) were found with 10 bags of dagga with an estimated street value of R35 739 by the Politsi K9 Police Unit members. According to Maake police spokesperson, Constable Rufus Magoro, the K9 police were on patrol along R36 Road near Ofcolaco when they came across a suspicious vehicle which they followed until it stopped at Rita.

When the vehicle was searched, the police discovered ten bags of dagga stacked in the vehicle.

The two men were arrested and detained at Maake Police cells.

The suspect appeared before Naphuno Magistrate Court on Monday and they were remanded in custody.

They will appear in court again on Thursday.
