UPDATE: Minor injuries after ‘train’ and bakkie collides

11 people were injured when a railway moto trolley, and not a train as reported, collided with a bakkie on Friday close to the Nkowankowa Graveyard.

One passenger traveling in the bakkie sustained serious injuries whilst 10 others only sustained minor injuries according to Constable Sholly Mathebula of the Ritavi police station.

Constable Mathebula added that the bakkie was transporting workers from Letaba Estates when the incident happened.

A case of reckless and negligent driving was opened.

Investigations are ongoing.
