TZANEEN: Armed suspects robbed Sapekoe

Tzaneen police are still on the hunt for the four armed suspects who attacked two security guards and stole a number of items to the estimated value of R300 000 at Sapekoe Middlekop.

“It is alleged that on Tuesday evening between 21:00 and 23:00, the suspects ordered the security guards to lie down at gunpoint and robbed them of two cellphones”, said Lieutenant Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe.

8 chainsaws,6 digging forks, 28 litres of diesel, 7 car batteries ,6 car tyres ,compressor, generator, 2 car jacks, toolbox, 20 litres of oil, and a Nissan canopy were also stolen.

The suspects also attempted to steal a car but failed before they fled in an unknown car, according to Ngoepe.

Police investigations are still continuing.
