Ethiopian national who went missing found murdered

A murder case has been opened at Letsitele police station after a body of a man who was recently reported missing was found in the bushes between Pjapjamela and Rainymaid village on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Bolobedu police spokesperson, Constable Millicent Mohale, 31 year-old Ethopian national, Terareegn Hibiso was reported missing at the Bolobedu police station by his brother last Wednesday. It is said Hibiso left his rental home in Mothobeki village outside Bolobedu to go and sell blankets but never returned home. He was driving a silver grey Nissan 1400 REG BYY 779 L.

After a case of a missing person was opened the police together with community members launched a massive search. During the search they found his his sandals and trouser at Mothobeki river.

His decomposed body was found by a passer-by on Tuesday afternoon who reported the matter to Letsitele police. “His next of kin confirmed that it is Hibo’s body. His Nissan 1400 vehicle is still missing and police have launched a manhunt for the killers and investigation is continuing,” added Mohale.
