Domestic worker assaulted in Haenertsburg

Three suspects are on the run after a break-in at a residence in Haenertsburg.

 

The suspects overpowered a domestic worker at the residence in Haenertsburg on Monday morning.

It is alleged that the three suspects asked the victim for work.

According to information, she said that there is no work. The suspects then asked for water, the Herald was told.

They broke into the house.

According to Marius Jacobs from Northern Security, the domestic worker was assaulted, but not seriously injured.

One of the suspects was armed.

By the time of going to press, Jacobs told the Herald that the suspects were still on the run in the direction of Randfontein in the area.

A manhunt was launched by the police.

Several of the stolen items were found in a veld nearby.
