Karabo Junior Sekgale is  a young man from the dusty roads of a small village of Ga-Modjadji close to Tzaneen.

Letaba Herald profiled this young man with his big dreams and aspirations earlier this year.

Sekgale is the co-founder of ‘Living Out Loud’ online publication which aims to help change the perception of young people’s lives.

This initiative targets the youth from Ga-Modjadji and the surrounding areas, by encouraging them that their background does not determine their future.

Hard work, determination and passion found this young man being nominated for the South African Men of the Year Award in the Youth Developer category.

‘I feel honored as I am the first from my village to be nominated for such a prestigious award. I feel like  after a long journey full of struggles that I have finally arrived at my destination as this will open a lot of doors for me’, Karabo told the Herald.
