TZANEEN: Taxi violence – Manhunt on for killers

The Letaba and the Oaks Taxi Associations are allegedly fighting over routes from Mertz to Tzaneen and to Johannesburg.

The Police in Maake outside Tzaneen have launched a massive manhunt for a group of suspects for taxi violence which erupted this morning at Lorraine village outside Tzaneen.

The Letaba and the Oaks Taxi Associations are allegedly fighting over routes from Mertz to Tzaneen and to Johannesburg.

‘At this stage one was killed and others were injured, there is no arrests as yet and the situation is tense,’ according to LT Col Moatshe Ngoepe.
