TZANEEN: Street lights burning bright
Several street lights in the Aqua Park area have been reportedly left powered on during daytime hours.
Several residents say they have have made numerous phone calls to the municipality and informed them of the lights, but nothing has yet been done.
Two streets in particular that were mentioned was Pieter Joubert and Van Der Steen str. But taking a drive throughout the area reveals several others as burning bright.
Municipal Spokesperson Neville Ndlala has been notified, and has informed us that he has personally made note of this matter, and will attend to it swiftly.
Although the matter of electricity wastage was not addressed in particular in the meeting on January 12, it definitely falls under the cluster of tasks and responsibilities the municipality has resolved to attend to in its entirety.
According to the outcomes presented in the meeting, these are some of the many improvements and alterations residents of Tzaneen can look forward to as part of the Municipality’s plan of action. See page X for details regarding the meeting.
