TZANEEN: Campaign donates bras for teens

A telecommunications company is collecting bras to donate to girls at schools around Mopani.

Ntsumi telecommunications is heading a ‘Girls With Confidence Campaign’ which was established recently and aims to distribute donated bras in April this year.

“We discovered that many girls especially from under privileged schools, do not participate in sporting activities at schools because of lack of bras as it can be very uncomfortable to play sports bra less,” said Miyelani Mlondobodzi, Ntsumi Foundation Manager.

Mlondobozi added that the campaign will focus mostly on rural schools around Mopani and Limpopo at large which will include areas such as Tzaneen villages, Bolobedu, Giyani, Hoedspruit and Phalaborwa rural areas.

The campaign will focus on both primary and high schools for girls from Grade 5 ( Standard three).

The initiative urges organisations and individuals to donate the bras and the drop in station is at the Greater Tzaneen FM (GTFM) at Cascades building in Sapekoe road.
