“According to information, the victim was taken by these men who allegedly took turns raping the girl”, stated Hoedspruit police spokesperson, Sergeant Livhuwani Mulaudzi.
Two suspects Kenneth Mokgotho (24) and Siyabonga Mahlangu (20) have been arrested and will appear before the Hoedspruit magistrate’s court on March 20, and the other four suspects are still at large.
Meanwhile a 27 year old woman was assaulted at Jazees tavern in Hoedspruit on Saturday night.
“It is alleged that the victim was hit over the head with a bottle after she refused the suspect an opportunity to ask the friend out on a date”, Mulaudzi further stated.
The suspect appeared before the Hoedspruit magistrate on Monday and was granted 500 bail. The suspect will appear again on April 3.
