Carolina Visser (44) was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of her husband Leon Potgieter (52) during a domestic dispute on February 2, 2016.

“The accused was complaining about domestic violence against her husband of which she never reported any of the incidents to the authorities until she shot him three times in the head”, stated Lieutenant Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe, Police spokesperson.
