Acornhoek pub robbed at gun point

De la Casa Pub and Grill in Acornhoek was robbed by an armed man on June 18.

“It is alleged that an unidentified man entered the Pub in the evening armed with a rifle, and instructed the cashier, employees and some customers to enter the cold room where alcohol is stored”, Constable Mxolisi Ndlovu, Acornhoek police spokesperson told the Herald.

According to information, the suspect opened the safe and got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

Meanwhile in Technical village a tuck shop owner was stabbed in the thigh by robbers who demanded cash.

“The suspects got away with an undisclosed amount of money, cigarettes and airtime. As the police we encourage anyone with information to report to their nearest police station”, concluded Ndlovu.
