WATCH: Hut nr 6 in KNP up in flames
Emergency services of the camp are applauded for their swift reaction who controlled the fire and contained it to only one hut.
According to a Facebook post on Camps & Roads of Kruger, hut nr 6 in Olifants Camp burned down last night, Friday August 18.

‘Hut 6 did experience fire damage due to a braai fire and strong winds late yesterday afternoon. The Olifants disaster team managed to contain the fire and remove the thatch from the unit before it had the opportunity to spread to the nearby units. Apart from the roof minor infrastructure damage occurred,’ Michelle van der Merwe posted on SANParks-Kruger National Park’s Facebook page.
