UPDATE: Still no bail for “Rape Prophet”

Prophet Confidence Monyela (32) appeared before the Lenyenye Magistrate Court on Tuesday for a bail hearing on his rape case.

Monyela remains in police custody with no bail until Thursday  September 14 for the judgement on his bail application and for further Police investigations.

He is charged with five rape cases and one of sexual assault.It is alleged that he raped four minors between the ages of 12 and 16 who were ushers at his church, Fire Prophetic Ministry in Burgersdorp Village outside Maake.

Monyela has denied guilt of all the charges against him and says that he knows that the truth will come out.
