No bail for ritual murder suspects
Following the discovery of her body, Nhuluvhe and Kheyi were arrested and they have been in police custody since then.
Two suspects who were arrested following the ritual killing of a 16 year-old girl at Gumbani village were denied bail when they appeared in the Malamulele Magistrate Court.
The duo, Austine Nhuluvhe (43) and Billy Kheyi (42) are believed to be responsible for the murder of Rhirandzu Manganye whose mutilated body was found in the bushes in July.
Police spokesperson, Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo said the girl was last seen alive on July 6, when she went to relieve herself in the nearby bushes next to the river at Gumbani Village.
Following the discovery of her body, Nhuluvhe and Kheyi were arrested and they have been in police custody since then.
At the time of going to the press, the duo were due to appear in the Malamulele Magistrate’s Court for a formal bail hearing.
