An exciting first for Merensky’s MDDA

Merensky High School’s MDDA claimed another first when the drama school entered their first student in a Trinity College drama exam.

Trinity College London is a leading international exam board and independent education charity that has been providing assessments in the performing arts around the world since 1877.

Jordin Young (grade 11) did exceptionally well in her grade 6 drama and speech exam, achieving a 91% average. For the examination Jordin had to prepare a monologue from a play, a dramatised prose and a narrative poem.

There was also an unprepared section consisting of sight reading and an interview with the examiner discussing the prepared material.

In her report the examiner wrote: “Jordin shows evidence of keen preparation and thorough understanding in an honest reflection on the rehearsalprocess.”

The MDDA is very proud of this talented young actress and will watch her progress with enthusiasm.
