Mayor meets Xmas and New Year babies in Tzaneen

The Department of Health In Mopani welcomed a total of 32 Christmas Day babies.

Letaba Hospital had one baby girl and four boys, Van Velden Hospital in Tzaneen received two boys and two girls, Nkhensani Hospital in Giyani had four boys and five girls and Tzaneen Medi Clinic received six Christmas babies.

On Christmas Day the mayor of Greater Tzaneen Municipality, Maripe Mangena and the First Lady, Precious Mangena visited the newborns on the day.

   Mangena’s visited Dr C.N Phatudi Hospital, Letaba Hospital and Van Velden Hospital in Tzaneen.

The mayor and his entourage which also comprised of local councillors came baring gifts for the newborns and their mothers.

Meanwhile the district also welcomed a total of 68 healthy babies on New Year’s Day.

Tzaneen Medi Clinic only welcomed one baby, Nkhensani had 12 boys and 11 girls, DR CN Phathudi had two boys and four girls and Letaba had seven girls and two boys. ]

Van Velden Hospital had two boys and six girls, Maphutha Malatji received four boys and three girls and Sekororo Hospital had one boy and three girls.

“We would like to wish the mothers and their new bundle of joy a happy new life and good health, ” said Wisani Tshuketana, Media Liasion of Van Velden Hospital.
