HOEDSPRUIT – Laurens Beeslaar and Libby Page were the standout performers in the 20km race at the fourth event of the 2026 Pam Golding Wildlife Estate Series, held at Elephant Rock Eco Estate on Saturday, August 29.

Beeslaar pips Atherstone by two seconds

Beeslaar claimed overall honours in the 20km, completing the challenging route in 01:43:41. Christopher Atherstone was hot on his heels, finishing just two seconds later in 01:43:43, while Jason Kipling secured third overall in 01:47:57.

Page was the first woman across the finish line, completing the 20km in 02:06:32 and finishing eighth overall. Eve Smith-Lomas followed in 02:18:47, while Tebogo Malapane took third among the women in 02:37:21.

Another fantastic day on the trails

Mandie Gericke of Pam Golding Properties Hoedspruit, the title sponsor of the series, said the events continued to provide an opportunity for the community to enjoy the outdoors while supporting trail running in the Lowveld.

“We are incredibly proud to be part of the Pam Golding Wildlife Estate Series and to see the enthusiasm and support from participants at every event.

Elephant Rock was another fantastic day on the trails, and we congratulate everyone who took part.

Wilreco Beeslaar takes the 10km win

The 10km race saw Wilreco Beeslaar take overall victory in an impressive 51:10. Michael Broodryk finished second overall in 52:40, while Jordan Prinsloo was third overall in 54:20 and the first female finisher.

Ndlovu takes the 5km crown

In the 5km race, Malwandla Ndlovu crossed the finish line first in 25:42. Ndzalama Ndlovu finished second in 26:11, with Janrich Cronje third in 26:27.

With four events now completed, the 2026 series will conclude at Blyde Wildlife Estate on September 19.
