11 traffic officials arrested for corruption

The latest arrests brings the total number of traffic officers arrested in the province to 33 since December 2017, the Northern Review reports.

This comes after three Nkowankowa Testing Station Examiners were arrested by the Hawks Organised Crime Unit at Nkowankowa Township outside Tzaneen on Tuesday Morning, December 12.

According to provincial Hawks spokesperson, Captain Matimba Maluleke, an intelligence driven operation between the Hawks’ Serious Corruption Crime unit and Road Traffic Management Corporation, to rid the province of corrupt officials, continued as eleven traffic officers were arrested in Mokopane for alleged corruption.
