The two brothers, Ishmael Mopai (28) and Michael Mopai (30), have appeared before the Lulekani Magistrate Court in Phalaborwa on Tuesday, May 8,on charges of murder.

The suspects allegedly murdered and decapitated their sister, Irene Mopai, on February 25.

The accused then supposedly disposed of the head on a nearby farm.

Police reported that the issue of a ritual murder can not be ruled out.

The defendant’s case was remanded to June 25 without bail.
