Limpopo wins silver at travel Indaba

The Limpopo Tourism Agency (LTA) stand won the silver award in the Provincial Tourism Authority category of the stand awards at Africa’s Travel Indaba at the Durban ICC last week.

The stand was designed to position Limpopo Province as a unique heritage and culture destination in Southern Africa with influence from the Bapedi, Tsonga and Vha-Venda cultures which are predominantly found in our Province.

Limpopo tourism establishments and products representatives received promising inquiries from other operators who are based locally and internationally.

“We are confident that through this engagement, more business will be generated, which will impact positively in the economy of the Province. Our media campaign that we have had throughout the show raised more awareness which will result in increased tourism arrivals,” said LTA CEO, Nomasonto Ndlovu.

According to Ndlovu, the Limpopo stand was one of the busiest at the travel trade show this year.

She is confident that this year’s travel show will boost tourism business in the province.

The agency took 29 exhibitors to Indaba to showcase their tourism products to attract buyers and tourists to the province.

Africa’s Travel Indaba is one of the largest tourism marketing events on the African calendar and one of the top three ‘must visit’ events of its kind on the global calendar. It showcases the widest variety of Southern Africa’s best tourism products and attracts international buyers and media from across the world.
