Calling on all Tzaneen parents
A Parent talk and platter eve with Linda Bruce will take place at Laerskool Tzaneen Primary School on Wednesday.

Calling on all parents to go and enjoy a fun yet enlightening evening on May 16 – covering topics such as “Your relationship patterns”, “Discipline and what that means for your child”, “Difficult behaviours and the impact it has in school and life” and “The importance of Social and Emotional Learning for your child”.
Social and Emotional Learning has been highlighted as one of the most critical skills needed for success and well-being in the 21st century, yet it is often misunderstood and absent in education and parenting approaches.
“I have dedicated my life to integrating SEL into schools and families because I believe that emotional intelligence is what allows us to expand and grow and embrace life in a way we never believed possible”, said Linda Bruce.
The importance of SEL for a child means the art of joyfully navigating life and making meaningful contributions along the way, this flows from a human capacity to form and nurture relationships and make thoughtful decisions, particularly in stressful situations.
This art of living is taught through Social and Emotional Learning, which is every child’s birth right! About our Key Speaker and hosts – Linda Bruce is mother-of-three, SEL specialist, Founder and author of the COOL TO BE ME SEL curriculum (www. cooltobeme.com) and developer of the SACE accredited SEL CPD course.
Together she has joined hands with Jacqui Crafford (founder of Jacqui Crafford SEL and Coaching Centre) an accredited COOL TO BE ME SEL Specialist representing Limpopo as well as a Parenting and Child Coach based in Tzaneen.
It is a great pleasure to have Anneline Coetzer a registered Child therapist based in Hoedspruit specialising in the well being of families and children and Monique van der Merwe a registered Social Worker and Counsellor operating from Laerskool Tzaneen Primary School as our guest speakers both with a true and deep desire to incorporate effective Social and Emotional learning into our children’s lives.
Proceeds to go to Laerskool Tzaneen Primary School’s Kidz in Need Programme with a focus to empower children through Social and Emotional Learning and to bring up Kidz who won’t have to recover from their childhood.
It will take place on May 16 at 18:00, R 100 per person. Tickets are available at Laerskool Tzaneen Primary School and Jacqui Crafford.
