Update: Phalaborwa woman arrested for ‘K’ word out on bail
The HERALD contacted the victim, Feroza Peters, for a response, “No comment, I am still under the weather at the moment,” said Peters.
Sandy Shipman (57), an employee at Foskor Mine in Phalaborwa who was arrested yesterday following a racial outburst, was granted R1 000 bail on conditions that she does not interfere directly or indirectly with the victim.
This after Shipman allegedly called a black woman, Feroza Peters, also an employee at Foskor, the ‘K’ word.

Shipman is set to appear again before the Phalaborwa Magistrate court on July 18, for further police investigations.
The HERALD contacted the victim, Feroza Peters, and she could not comment.
“No comment, I am still under the weather at the moment,” said Feroza Peters.
Foskor’s Group Manager Corporate Affairs, Abram Ledwaba, said that they are aware of the matter and cannot comment at the moment.
“We are aware of the matter, and we cannot comment prematurely before doing investigations and hearing both sides of the story,” he said.
