Tzaneen: Your weekly crime update

Police in Tzaneen have arrested 25 people for various criminal activities over the past week.

According to Captain Joseph Moseri; five people were arrested for shoplifting, one person was arrested for common assault and six people were
arrested for possession of dagga.

One person was arrested for assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm (GBH), one person for malicious damage to property, two for housebeaking and one for dealing in dagga.

Three people were arrested for common robbery, one person was arrested for carjacking, two people were arrested for driving while under the influence of liquor and one person was arrested for theft of motor vehicle and one person was arrested for possession of suspected stolen
properties.

Meanwhile in Lestitele 35 people were arrested for various criminal activities over the past week.

According to Constable Lisbeth Khosa, 11 people were arrested for GBH, two for found in possession of electric cables and one person for intimidation.

One person was arrested for common robbery, two people for reckless and negligent driving, 14 for drinking liquor in public, three for contravention of road traffic Act and one for murder.
