TZANEEN: Your weekly crime update

Police in Tzaneen have arrested 26 people for various criminal activities over the past week.

According to Captain Joseph Moseri, seven people were arrested for shoplifting, four people were arrested for common assault and two for general theft.

One person was arrested for malicious damage to property, two people were arrested for driving while under the influence of liqour, one person was arrested for violation of a protection order and one person for negligent loss of a firearm.

Four people were arrested for common robbery, three people were arrested for possession of endangered species (pangolin) and one person was arrested for assault by threats.

Meanwhile, according to Constable Lisbeth Khosa, police in Letsitele have arrested 23 people for various criminal activities over the past week.

1Nine people were arrested for grievous bodily harm, two people for common robbery and one person for shoplifting.

Three people were arrested for crimen injuria, one person for accusing someone as a wizard and seven people for contravention of Road Traffic Act.
