Hoedspruit Rotary donate to deserving causes

In addition, Jane de Pradines collected R 10,000 for Farm Watch and Rotary thanked them for their dedication in keeping our area safe.

At a recent gala event at Fig and Bean, Rotary Hoedspruit handed out a number of substantial awards to deserving causes. The funds are raised annually at the Hoedspruit Rotary K2C Cycle Tour which traverses Blue Canyon, Kapama, Thornybush and Timbavati PNRs. Each of these reserves were presented with R30,000 to be spent on conservation on their respective reserves.

Paul White representing Timbavati PNR thanked President Wilna, confirming, “This money makes a really worthwhile contribution to our much needed conservation fund and Rotary’s generosity is much appreciated.”

The awards were graciously presented by Wilna Mew, President and Ole Ahrens, President Elect. Ole, who was also the master of ceremonies, was light hearted and kept those in attendance informed and good laughs were had.

In addition, Jane de Pradines collected R 10,000 for Farm Watch and Rotary thanked them for their dedication in keeping our area safe.

R5,000 was also presented to Teresa and France Tintinger representing the Timbavati Foundation .

Lucy Snyman collected a lovely framed cycle top in thanks to Maruleng Auto for their valuable contribution to the 2018 cycle tour.

The next cycle tour takes place on 20 July 2019.
